Follow-up Comment #9, task #11212 (project administration): Savannah is a good place for code repository, but bitbucket.org provides a more convenient way for people to make their fork. In fact, many people make a fork only for their own use, not for public. What is more, on bitbucket.org, people could watch and follow projects, which means they may got notified when a new commit is submitted. And for me, Savannah will be the place for major development, which means all of my collaborators (if there's any in the future) will doing their work at Savannah (code repository, mailing list, etc.). I will maintain the repository on bitbucket.org by myself and no one else will commit to bitbucket.org.
