If this is true then why not release it now? This may not answer your question as per Savannah policy, but why not release it? Are you concerned that it doesn't work? Are you embarrassed about its quality? Let me simply propose that the code might be improved faster by releasing it. The only way to gain some interest from other developers is to give them a chance to access it. As to the question of stability: I'm using "unstable" software to write this email to you.
