It's great to here that you guys want jump in to the savannah boat :)

Sourceforge provides to the project administrators access to get an mbox
file with the whole history of the mailing list (see
http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/sourceforge/wiki/Mailing%20lists). I'm not
aware of an importing mbox option available in savannah, you should wait
for an answer from an administrator.
