Okay, I smoked crack. This stuff is really well managed by switch, the guy
who wrote that knew what he was doing... :p The problem is only with
smooth_add, which uses a transition that sums two instances of the same
source (one with coeff P, one with coff 1-P and fade-in, fade-out). In
that case it is necessary to have caching.
