Hi all, I'd like a bit of input on a decision I am considering making, whilst some progress has been made on the GUI ( but at a slow pace) by myself last year, now that my time has freeded up and I've been introduced to ardour, I might consider taking a path of using the framework created by the ardour team to rapidly develop the GUI.
The advantages from such a system is that we inherit the gui features and MVC as set out by the ardour team, whilst replacing aspects relating to the context of the gui & the sound transport used. I am very keen to be able to use their mixer as shown here http://ardour.org/files/main-screenshot-big.png Ardour sticks with gtk, but moves to C, of which isn't too bad of a drawback considering the speed advantage. Also considering that we now only support *nix systems then it might work as an advantage. So please, thoughts... -- Peter Brooks
