Hi devs,
(I'm talking to all current members of the Savonet project, see below
for the list.)
We should move on with that project of celebrating the [EMAIL PROTECTED] Innovation
Trophy prize. The idea is still to have a dinner among developpers. We
have to find a nice place -- don't care about the price, we are rich.
After that it'd be nice to have a couple drinks with anybody vaguely
related to Savonet and close projects.
(I write in English for theneb because it seemed possible for him to
have a trip to Paris for meeting us.)
Date: I propose Saturday, March 22nd. Does that suit everybody ? The
15th might be manageable, if 22nd is inconvenient.
Restaurant:
* Romain knows an Ethiopian place, where we can get a room booked as a
group. Plus, eating directly with our hands will surely make it very
convivial.
* Samuel proposes a good french restaurant (e.g. Astier). Good food is
always nice. In that case, going for lunch rather than dinner would save
us some euros. In the afternoon between that and the pub, I'd then
propose a feature-drafting/coding party.
* Japanese is more or less ruled out: I'm not sure to find in Paris an
izakaya as friendly as the ones in Kyoto, and Romain doesn't like asian
food that much anyways.
=> Please vote or propose other things. I didn't vote yet: I want the
drafting/coding party, but I'm still unsure for the restaurant.
Who (for restaurant):
* Any current developper of savonet of course: Vincent, Clément,
Julien, Romain, Stéphane, Samuel, Peter, the newcomer Olivier, and me.
* Estelle says that girlfriends deserve to join. I think that would be
fun. But of course it wouldn't be girlfriends only: everyone can bring
somebody.
* I'm considering inviting special guests: some former developpers. I
have in mind: Sylvain Chevillard, Florent Bouchez, Samuel Thibault,
Sattisvar Tandabany... I'm sure I miss some important nice guys. They
are not in Paris so they will likely not be able to join: but just in
case, it would be cool -- plus, we might be able to bring them back to
the project. I didn't contact anybody yet.
=> What do you think ? That's a long list but it'll probably be about
12 persons in the end -- anyway, more is okay.
Where to drink:
* I forgot the name of the pub again, but I don't know that many (and
the gentleman is weird these days) so you know, I'm thinking about that
one near St Michel where they have a room downstairs. We could even book
it if we're a lot to come.
Who (for the pub):
* Easy: people from Dolebraï, Fréquence 3, Geek Radio, [EMAIL PROTECTED], random
users (is Pardailhan still around ? what about das-t ? or VIPs like
X.Cazin, or the Bide-et-Musique guy ?), feel free to bring any relevant
people (but don't announce in on facebook)...
We should settle that soon in order to book stuff and invite people in
advance.
