Hi, I think vector graphics might be interesting, but if used in a deeper way, which is difficult. If the application that you have in mind just involves displaying static vector graphics, then why not import them by converting to an image format that we support? There are several tools for converting svg to pixmap.
Currently, it should be possible, or close to possible, to have interesting applications with static images, and I'd prioritize doing that first. Although it might seem easy, we really need to do them, to see if the details work out right: are the types useful and precise enough, are the errors helpful, are the operators natural? My personal timeline is as follows: - get the external decoder working, it seems to be a show stopper for some users - advertise the SVN version, get users and feedback - launch challenges on applications involving video and midi - with feedback on normal uses and experience on new uses, polish Cheers, -- David ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ SOLARIS 10 is the OS for Data Centers - provides features such as DTrace, Predictive Self Healing and Award Winning ZFS.
