SDL support, while great, is a problem for users who want to use liquidsoap for
a server. On the one hand, it requirs to pull all X libraries and on the other
hand, SDL will fail is initiated with a server that does not have the minimun
requirement, like a connected mouse.
We (me and Samuel) propose to work a the possibility to compile SDL features
(and maybe other) as plugins so that we can build them in Debian and other but
distribute a nox liquidsoap by default and an optional SDL plugin package.
Work ahs already started in the "plugins" branch, although initially meant for
lame.
