David Baelde commented on LS-123:
---------------------------------

I have started the simple change discussed above: I added a subtype for
active_sources, and used it to refine the warning (now an error) about ignored
values. Nothing done yet regarding unused variables.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, try the branch, try ignoring stuff:
this is now only permitted for the only declared active source, ie.
output.dummy() for now. More importantly, we should settle design choices:
currently I have create a subtype for active_sources but the comment I made
above makes me think that I should change this to a subtype for outputs only
(we don't care that things are active, we just don't want dangling stuff, even
if it's a strip_blank or a soundcard input). Apart from that the API just needs
to be stabilized (one new parameter, or a new add_output?) and used everywhere.

> Add a warning for unused variables. This would be useful for users who don't
> understand the let-in style of definitions. One problem is that the warning
> would be issued a lot for utils.liq.
