David Baelde commented on LS-431:
---------------------------------
I don't see the glitches with output.sdl(video.volume(drop_audio(...))). On the
other hand I've noticed that the general pattern is not regular: 1 bump, 2
bumps (!), 1 bump, 2... Worth investigating at a later point.
> Is smooth_add() really smooth?
> ------------------------------
>
> Key: LS-431
> URL: http://dev.sourcefabric.org/browse/LS-431
> Project: Liquidsoap
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: Liquidsoap
> Affects Versions: 1.0 beta
> Reporter: David Baelde
> Priority: Major
>
> The following expression displays graphically a simple smooth_add example:
>
> output.alsa(visu.volume(smooth_add(special=delay(3.,blank(duration=4.)),normal=sine(440.))))
> It should be smooth but there are ugly gaps in it. I don't hear any glitch,
> though, so it is possible that visu.volume is really responsible for that.
> Either way, the above example should show a smooth curve, we need to fix it.
> (If visu.volume is broken and we have a good alternative, we can drop it.)
