This is doable. There is already a metadata field where we document which 
decoder has been used, it would seem logical to use the same to force the use 
of a decoder. Just one thing before adding extra complexity to the decoding 
system: What is the motivation for this feature request? Do you have a system 
where libmagic returns broken results?
