Most games come with their own fonts, even other applications such as
cinerella. Software samplers do come with default samples, and I wouldn't be
against having default samples installed with liquidsoap some day -- rather,
installed with the sampler plugin, because liquidsoap needs to become more
modular.
The difference with C versions is that we detect them at configure time. Which
leads to another possibility: checking for a default font in configure, and
allowing the user to override it. I like this option, and I'm sure you like it
better than bundling a font... should we implement that? If so, you're welcome
to start ;)
