There was also the issue described by another user:
You want to read files using playlist and a directory, and resolve through 
replaygain.

In this case, you need to set a prefix before resolution is done.. 

I believe the patch is usefull, but perhaps it could be a rewrite function 
instead of a simple prefix. This could allow further user extensions without 
the need to change the code..
