Well, I really think this is a bug tho :) Metadata updates are sent through an http get request, at least for mp3 sources. As such, spaces and non-ASCII characters are encoded using base64, or maybe I did not understand the real "issue". Another issue was the case where the live encoder sends data with an incorrect encoding. I am not sure if their is a bug there but with 0.9.3 and 1.0 beta, we also added the usual automatic format detection we do elsewhere. It is not garanteed 100% but works most of the time.
