I'm sorry I don't have time for a full answer, but here's some info to
get started.
Liquidsoap parses several playlist formats. Comments vary from one
format to the other. You should be able to find info about that, maybe
in the doc, at least in liquidsoap --conf-descr. You can also try
parsing a playlist with playlist.parse(), see how liq sees it:
$ liquidsoap --interactive
...
# playlist.parse("<filename>") ;;
.... (huge list, try it on a small list)
