Hey Samuel,
I spent some time looking into this (even tried hg bisect to narrow down
the problem).
Turns out you were right. We have a set of scripts that launch various VM's
and compile Liquidsoap in each of them. This time the source tar.gz we
compile from didn't have a make clean done on it before compiling.
All is well now!
