Hi,
Unfortunately, Liquidsoap cannot work with compressed formats. That's the price
to pay for the flexibility that it provides, as @autonarcosis put it well.
I'm closing this issue since I don't think that we can do much about it. You
can, however, look a the `%shine` encoder if you want to reduce CPU/memory
footprint for mp3 encoding.
