Hmm, I don't use it on Windows, and I need to pass through some metadatas, so I
use `{input,output}.external` through a pipe. I however use` -q` as a parameter
for stereotool to suppress most of the output. And it works on Linux using
1.3.7, and pipe() seems to work too but I don't use it that way in production.
