Hi there,

You want to look at FDKAAC, which provides HE-AAC (AAC+)

Subject: [Savonet-users] AAC+

Hi All,

I am migrating to liquidsoap because it provides fallback and other
features I don't have on the existing streaming installations I run.

liquidsoap also has video capability which I need in a couple of new
locations so learning and using it is going to solve a lot of challenges.

I have a system running which delivers mp3 and AAC streams but I am keen
to use AAC+ because our transmission paths are unreliable using the
higher density streams.

AAC+ eliminated all buffering and it is being used in the existing system.

Problem is I can't find any instructions on how to implement this.

There is mention in the decoding areas but not in encoding.

regards

Robert
