I've been running the Sourceforge sawfish-1.3 on Fedora 4 no problems. Just upgraded to an Amd64 system with Fedora 4 x64, and no go. CVS supposedly solves this problem, but I haven't gotten CVS to compile.
First, etc/config.guess and etc/config.sub are old even in CVS and need to be replaced. Even then automake gives errors: configure.in: no proper invocation of AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE was found. configure.in: You should verify that configure.in invokes AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE, configure.in: that aclocal.m4 is present in the top-level directory, configure.in: and that aclocal.m4 was recently regenerated (using aclocal). automake: no `Makefile.am' found for any configure output Then configure says: configure: WARNING: X11/extensions/Xrandr.h: present but cannot be compiled configure: WARNING: X11/extensions/Xrandr.h: check for missing prerequisite headers? configure: WARNING: X11/extensions/Xrandr.h: see the Autoconf documentation configure: WARNING: X11/extensions/Xrandr.h: section "Present But Cannot Be Compiled" configure: WARNING: X11/extensions/Xrandr.h: proceeding with the preprocessor's result configure: WARNING: X11/extensions/Xrandr.h: in the future, the compiler will ta ke precedence configure: WARNING: ## ------------------------------------------ ## configure: WARNING: ## Report this to the AC_PACKAGE_NAME lists. ## configure: WARNING: ## ------------------------------------------ ## checking for X11/extensions/Xrandr.h... yes ./configure: line 5458: syntax error near unexpected token `XFT,' ./configure: line 5458: `PKG_CHECK_MODULES(XFT, xft >= 1.0,' ========================================================== Chris Candreva -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- (914) 967-7816 WestNet Internet Services of Westchester http://www.westnet.com/
