Greetings.

I have been using Sawfish for many years (I started using it back in the old
days, when it was still named Sawmill), and for the first time, I found myself
unable to upgrade to a new Sawfish version, namely v1.8.1.

I manage to compile everything fine (though, the spec files you provide don't
work any more "out of the box", because v1.8.1, librep 0.92.0 and rep-gtk
v0.90.6 don't use their version number neither the platform name for
/usr/lib/rep/ sub-directories), but I end up with the following backtrace when
Sawfish starts:

Lisp backtrace:
#12  string-match ...
#11  string-split ...
#10  associate-categories ...
#9   fdo-menu-entry ...
#8   generate-apps-menu ...
#7   update-apps-menu ...
#6   run-byte-code ...
#4   make-structure (() #<closure 8110664 @ user> #<closure 8110650 @ user>
user)
#2   load ...
#1   run-byte-code ...

error--> (bad-arg #<subr string-match> () 2)

Since there is no reference as to which Lisp file that backtrace refers, I had
no other choice than reverting back to Sawfish v1.7.1, which is the last
functional version for me...

I'm under Mandriva 2010.0.

Any clue ?

Thanks in advance.
