I don't know if they've talked about this in any blog posts, but definitely go listen to their podcast - http://androidbackstage.blogspot.com/2014/08/android-developers-backstage-episode-11.html. Well, start with part 1, but part 2 is the really interesting one from a Scala point of view.
>From what they're saying, there should be some huge Scala wins; GC for small short-lived objects is much improved, for one. But the big one is that it seems like the 64k limit will become irrelevant. FYI, they talk about Scala quite a bit. (And they talk about making the 64k stuff available in a support library, so it's not just for Android-L.) I'm really hoping that they're going to make my Eclipse plugin (https://github.com/banshee/AndroidProguardScala) completely obsolete. -- James Moore [email protected] http://blog.restphone.com/ http://www.linkedin.com/in/jamesmmooreiv -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "scala-on-android" group.
