I was wondering why scalr requires custom name servers instead of utilizing DDNS. What is the scalr software doing besides updating the DNS records with the ip addresses of the ec2 instances? If there isn't anything else, wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to use DDNS? Thanks for the info.
