here is an example email notification: Subject: RebundleComplete event notification Date: Mon, 29 Jun 2009 13:58:29 -0500 From: "Scalr.net" <[email protected]>
Rebundle started on instance 174.129.91.183 (i-c1587aa8) successfully com= plete. New AMI ID: ami-adbd5cc4. It's good to be notified... and it gives plenty of detailed information, but It makes no sense in the absence of knowing which farm it happened on. The farm name should be in the subject line and body of any notification sent out, so we don't have to have a ten minute investigation just to figure out which farm sent the message. something like: Subject: Event notification: farm production role production-app RebundleComplete Rebundle started for farm production role production-app on instance 174.129.91.183 (i-c1587aa8) successfully completed. New AMI ID: ami- adbd5cc4. That would also allow me to setup rules on my inbox to forward messages from my production farm to sms, and have a different set of rules to deal with the testing farm. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "scalr-discuss" group.
