It's just an option that might be good to have don't you think? Not
critical though. I hope such feature would not interfere with Scalr
architecture.

As far as the often sync - it's a kind of a backup for lots of files
uploaded by users. Basically the CMS code needs update to be able to
save/retrieve these files from S3 or EBS. Most of CMS's aren't
designed to work with EC2 by default ... plenty of work for good
developers out there.
