Yes, thanks I realised that was what I had done when I tried to redo it. However, reassigning the machine to use EBS cauases problems with errors about the target data folder being to full and not existing - I changed the data folder location for the previous attempt to use EBS to the EBS mounted volume and the mount folder exists and is writable.
Can you explain what is required to swap a mysql role from using LVM to using EBS please?
