Hello Dominique,

Scalr updates DNS zones by cron. On development.scalr.net this process can take 
up to 5-7 minutes. On Production this process takes maximum 2 minutes.

The same thing with attaching and mounting EBS volumes and scaling, everything 
is slower on development environment.
