I've been trying out your scalr AMI. Seems like you guys have done some cool things.
There are some questions I have about what your plans are. Are any of these feature Ideas on your roadmap perhaps * Be able to specify the name of the ssh key that roles use - Mainly because I see FARM-2 and FARM-3 on my aws console page and have no idea what that means exactly * Be able to specify minimum instance on as zero or as in the case of RightScale be allowed to disable the farm but launch servers from a certain role - the reason mainly for this is because I might want to test one instance of a new deployment first or launch a few at a time so as not to overload a database server with connections. then I can enable scaling later when I feel its ready * Be able to create elastic IPs for the amazon account and then manually assign then rather than just saying the farm automatically do it. - A couple of reasons for this is because I might want to use the same ones when I spawn a different set once Ive decommised a group of servers of a certain role. Also I can control it with amazon aws already but if I don't ever have to touch amazon aws to do anything and just use your guy's control system exclusively then the better. * Be able to add servers without roles/farms just create a standard amazon instance. - Similar reason like before, just avoid touching Amazon web interface. * Be able to make and use own security groups - Im still trying to create custom roles but from I've seen so far everything has been predefined. I would like to be able to add security groups like in amazon and then assign them to specific roles.
