Dear community,

We are very pleased to announce that our friends at Japanese public cloud
provider IDCF have packaged Scalr into a convenient RPM. You may find it at

http://repo.cloud.idc.jp/Linux/CentOS/6/idcf/x86_64/scalr-3.6.0-0.1.idcf.el6.noarch.rpm

http://repo.cloud.idc.jp/Linux/CentOS/6/idcf/SRPMS/scalr-3.6.0-0.1.idcf.el6.src.rpm

Please note that this is for CentOS6.3, in the EPEL and IDCF repositories.

*To install:*

1. Install a minimal CentOS 6.3, and update to latest version.

2. Add the EPEL and IDCF repositories as follows:
    # yum localinstall
http://repo.cloud.idc.jp/Linux/CentOS/6/idcf/x86_64/idcf-release-8-0.0.idcf.el6.noarch.rpm
    # yum localinstall
http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/x86_64/epel-release-6-8.noarch.rpm

3. Install Scalr.
    # yum install scalr

4. Set up Scalr.
How to setup is written in the following file :
    /usr/share/doc/scalr-3.6.0/README.idcf.scalr
    (Japanese only - translation appreciated!)

    Run the below script:
    /usr/share/doc/scalr-3.6.0/scalr_setup.sh

5. Access the server with a web browser, and log in as "admin".

6. Create a user account, and log in as it.

*Current missing functionality:*

1. Scalr endpoints("scalr-dns.net" in Hosted Scalr)
2. PHPMyAdmin integration
3. MindTerm has different behavior

Can we get IDCF some love?

Cheers,
Sebastian
