Hello! I have some issues with the VPC Router role:
1) When configuring the VPC Router Role in my farm, I cannot define the "placement" (availaibility zone) for the instance. In my case, this is causing the VPC Router instance to be created in a different availability zone. Since Amazon charges for traffic across availability zones, it would be great to be able to define the AZ for the instance (or even the subnetwork, provided the user has configured the subnetwork correctly). 2) Why is it sometimes mandatory? If my VPC is already configured, my instances can already access the internet through a pre-existing NAT instance in the VPC. Or is the VPC router needed in some other special way (ie for inbound access to backend hosts)?
