Thanks Igor. I've considered this workaround but my worry is that if farm 
role is deleted this volume will be deleted as well, so it is not safe. My 
current workaround is to attach the volume from within chef recipe. It is 
good enough for the moment but it would be nice to be able to do it from 
the GUI. If you ever consider to implement this feature in the future you 
have my vote :-)
