What makes more sense, catering to those that are currently active in the group's meetings or to those that were once active? A little bit of honesty here. Jay, you have not been to a meeting in 5 years. Carl, you live out of state so it is not practical for you to make the meetings like you did when you were in the area, when you were in the area or even come to visit you came to meetings so you do have a little more weight here to me. Things change over time. This was discussed at several meetings before the decision was made. No one currently in the LUG has the time to maintain or even pretend to maintain a website. We want a place to upload files, post meeting info, automate meeting reminders. Yahoo was chosen as the best option until we have time and resources to DIY. Those that are active in the LUG have moved over to the yahoo group, or should have, it is at this time the official mailing list. We simply would like email destined for the old list to end up on the new list. If this is not possible shut down or delete the old list. I would hope the mail archive could stay online but if not that is fine also. It is not about what should happen, it has already happened. If another change is needed, back to the way things were before, make it happen. We would love to have the help with topics, arrangements and so on. - Bob ------------------------------------------------------------------------ | Robert 'Bob' Jensen || Fedora Unity Founder | | [email protected] || http://fedoraunity.org/ | | http://bjensen.fedorapeople.org/ | | http://blogs.fedoraunity.org/bobjensen | | http://www.facebook.com/people/Robert-Bob-Jensen/1332998420 | ------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ scalug-list mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.mn-linux.org/mailman/listinfo/scalug-list
