It would be a trivial matter to standardise the creation of and access to a top-level prompt, though, so that call/cc could be implemented portably. The main arguing point, I suspect, being where that prompt should be placed in relation to a REPL :-) Perhaps each top-level expression evaluated would get its own top-level prompt, to avoid issues...
