It's mentioned that "start" and "end" may be omitted, and their default values are mentioned. If that is the case then the entry headings which omit "start" and "end" may also be omitted. Up to you, but it might be clearer.
Similarly, one could allow the "start" and "end" arguments to "substring" to be omitted, this making it the exact same as "string-copy".
