There's not much motivation in fixing it because the FFI depends on it, and it's the FFI and close C integration which is Chibi's raison d'ĂȘtre. [For the record, I consider the C string model broken, but C isn't going anywhere.] This is not necessarily an argument to not require #\0 in strings in R7RS-large, since this is a limitation of a specialized implementation which doesn't necessarily aim for large lang compatibility. But it's misleading to suggest that this is already a de facto standard when it isn't. -- Alex
