With the regular set of sample data, it is difficult to test the attendance functionality, because there are 1000 students in a complex rotating schedule (this isn't to say that it won't work for a school of 1000 kids, but that if you're just randomly poking around, it is hard to see the patterns).
Tonight I set up a simple school which has 1 section taught by one teacher with nine students. They have classes every hour of the day, seven days a week. Homeroom periods are after midnight and noon. Brutal, but good for demoing. More instructions are pinned to the calendar at: http://65.111.170.100:7080/calendar I'll leave this up for a few weeks.
