Cool, thanks for the write up. I found the source last week, but  
haven't had a chance to play with it yet.

None of my business, but I'd be happy if you followed ffmpeg2theora's  
lead here and just kept the scons build. It really is nicer than  
autotools, especially for a static application like this.
