Prior recipients have been awarded $250 - $1,000 and enabled them to: 1. Digitize and color-correct space-related videos from the 1960s that could not be located online. 2. Perform oral histories/interviews with space entrepreneurs and visionaries. 3. Digitize one of the only two known full sets of the magazine Space World so that we could make its content more accessible. Grants are issued throughout the year, whenever the need presents; there is no formal deadline. Details can be found at https://www.spacecommerce.org/projects-we-fund/small-step-grant/<https://spacehistory101.us3.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2232a36b23c9e9ad645fecde7&id=5c400cca0b&e=944634ba92> Internships We have identified a number of projects that the Foundation needs help with. These activities include cataloging materials donated to the Foundation’s archive (requires a student in the Washington DC area); online research (available remotely); and support for two initiatives related to organizing a space history forum and documenting archives. If you are aware of students who might be interested in working with us, please encourage them to send a CV to i...@spacecommerce.org<mailto:i...@spacecommerce.org> Free Books and Reports As we catalog recent donations, the SPACE 3.0 Foundation has identified books and reports that we have multiple copies of. We’d like these extra copies to find a new home at another archive, non-profit institution, or with historians that have a need for them. These are available at no cost, if you cannot pick them up in person, we only ask that you cover the cost of shipping. A list of titles currently available is below.
