I worked on recreating this error and finally got it.  I played 3 games and
all three displayed the correct result of the game with a popup displaying
"1-0".

I left SCID running observing a game and the popup came up at the end of the
game with the game result border but the result had other info.

In the PGN window, the result was not displayed at the end of the game.
However, after I hit ok in the dialog box, the result is then added to the
PGN window.
