The UI changes in revision 1.34 of tcl/tools/fics.tcl do the job...

These changes apparently introduce a (png) dependency that is not 
satisfied on my system. What dependency?
Why does the application crash? Should there not be some gracefully 
degrading alternate representation of these buttons?

Some silly questions - as we do not do any configuration management, do we:

Can I safely revert to 1.33 of this file? What other components need to 
be reverted as well? Should I merge the changes of 1.35 into 1.33 instead?
