I admit, I never noticed something the like. Please try the patch I 
described in my other mail, to see if it persists. Can you positively 
rule out a failure of your hard disk? Corrupted file system due to a 
crash eg.? To me it sounds more like a failure in another part of Scid. 
Note also that it does not sort your correspondence db here, but the 
clipbase. This is all done in memory at this specific point.
