Following the subsequent discussion it seems settled.

I'd also suggest that we really try to get our users on board. In some
way, questions asked here on the list should get an answer here but also
question and answer should make it into the Wiki, somehow. Any ideas
about that? At least questions should make it into some part of the
documentation. Depending on the kind of question either in FAQ or in the
real part.

I also admit that I think we can improve the docs quite a bit if they
are actually written by the user with the help of those who did or know
the code.

Concerning domain names, well I like almost everything except .com. .com
is commercial, we are not commercial. To me .info or .org sound nice,
also .net would be a consideration. But I think this is settled once a
domain has to be registred as one will have to take what's available.

From a usability point of view I suggest to give keywords to the
individual pages. A good index is IMHO key to each documentation
project. Yes, I usually read books backwards, neglecting the TOC
starting at the index. Especially so if I search an answer for a question.

How should the Wiki interact with the F1-help?

I could imagine that in a first step the current help gets imported into
the Wiki in a "manual" section and is improved there. Depending on the
Wiki, it might be possible to regenerate the Scid help from it's
contents? IMHO this would be a good idea. One could also go for an
online documentation in the wiki only. This has some drawbacks and some
advantages. A decision is required here, IMHO.

And last but not least: what about this (IMHO silly) NLS stuff? I have
the impression that we might manage to keep NLS current for the menues
and so on. But I'm not sure to keep a documentation in any system
current in 14(!) languages. To support 14 languages is a huge effort.
Just to name it, we're here _on level_ with IBM...
