I'm using 3.7.3, and I have that option selected.
I think I was simply misinterpreting the results.
To see if I am understanding correctly now, I'd like to walk through this
example:
10.Re1?? = D { Fruit 2.2.1: Analysis reports blunder, with score change
from/to: +2.86 / -0.20}
( 10.Bd5 Bd6 11.g3 c6 12.Bxe4 Bb4 13.c3 d5 14.Bxd5 Qxd5 15.cxb4 O-O
16.Nc3 +/- )
10...Bc5?! += { Fruit 2.2.1: Analysis reports blunder, with score change
from/to: -0.20 / +1.12}
( 10...Bb7 11.Nc3 O-O-O 12.Qf3 f5 13.Bf4 Qc5 14.Nxe4 Bxe4 15.Rxe4 fxe4
16.Qxe4 Qc6 17.Qd3 = )
Before Black's 10th move, the score is -0.20.
After Black blunders on the 10th move, Fruit reports that the score has
changed from -0.20 to +1.12.
It then gives a recommended move for Black, and line of play that follows.
Here's the thing I was missing earlier: In order to generate the score
/before/ Black's move, Fruit assumed that Black would play Bb7. In other
words, -0.20 is the score for Fruit's recommended move, based on the given
continuation.
Am I understanding better now?
