Applications are invited for a permanent (tenured) lecturership in 
computational mathematics. You will normally hold a PhD in mathematics or a 
related subject and will have an excellent research track record (including 
multiple publications) in an area of numerical analysis or scientific 
computing. You will have well formulated research plans
for the development or analysis of new algorithms for high performance 
computing in line with the aims of the new 8M Centre for Numerical Algorithms 
and Intelligent Software (NAIS) (www.nais.org.uk). You will also be committed 
to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. 
For established academics who have already demonstrated sustained excellence in 
research leadership, we may consider appointment at a higher level.

The post is available at a mutually agreed date on or after 1st December 2009.
