I knew I forgot to mention something. I had noticed the `quiet' on the kernel lines and deleted it. I didn't know what the `rhgb' was for so I didn't touch it. I'll try also deleting the `rhgb' and see how that works on the next reboot. Is this documented any place? I just tried a google search on this and couldn't find anything relevant. Thanks.
