Hello,

Back from vacation, I notice that somme of our 5.2 machines were not =
updated
and I don't understand why.

yum is OK every where :

Updating:
yum                     noarch     3.2.19-25.sl     sl-security     =
 925 k

but some machines have been updated with :

sl-release-5.2-2.x86_64
and=20
yum-conf-52-4.SL.noarch

while other stay at :

sl-release-5.2-1.x86_64
and=20
yum-conf-52-2.SL.noarch

Have you updated you yum-conf file and/or your /etc/redhat-release file?

The change to sl-release and yum-conf was to update to the new GPG key that we are now using to sign rpms.

Can you try to upgrade these manually via yum and send back the error messages.

yum update yum-conf
yum update sl-release

On machines updated I also noticed in /var/log/yum.log=20
a strange name for yum-conf

                        @@

The 5 is known as a epoch number. A kind of overriding of the version.

Furthuremore on a 5.1 machine I got :

--------------------
YUM - security
--------------------
Error: Missing Dependency: yum < 3.1.0-0 is needed by package yum-uti=
ls
Error: yum conflicts with yum-utils < 1.1.16-11

Have you installed yum-utils lately.

Thanks for your help.
