Be aware that SL may not be the easiest Linux distro to set up.
(A much newer kernel would be useful)
To identify the wireless device you have, please open a terminal and run
lsusb
#If that doesn't work, try "/usr/sbin/lsusb"
http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Devices/USB
is handy for this.
To view the loaded drivers, run
/sbin/lsmod|more
The right driver would be zd1211rw, p54usb, rt2800usb, or rt73usb.
