rsyslogd can write to tty devices just like normal files (well, it requires special handling but that is done automatically). Just edit /etc/rsyslog.conf and add a line like this to the rules section: *.info;mail.none;authpriv.none;cron.none /dev/tty12 Regards, Florian Philipp
