Yes, stop using Fedora 12 packages.

Hi Steve,
The big offender is my love of Krusader. Pbone only
has it for Fedora. So, I tried rebuilding
krusader-2.0.0-1.1.fc12.src.rpm, but too many errors.
Made me install
yum install kdelibs-devel phonon-devel giflib-devel bzip2-devel
gamin-devel libacl-devel
So I tried rebuilding krusader-2.4.0-0.9.beta3.fc19.src.rpm.
Made me install "yum install kdebase4-devel", but then
rpmbuild --rebuild krusader-2.4.0-0.9.beta3.fc19.src.rpm
took and now a have a
krusader-2.4.0-0.9.beta3.el6.x86_64.rpm
and that installed perfectly.
The I did a
rpm -qa | grep -i fc12
and an "rpm -e" on all the remaining fc12 packages.
Still got some problems with "contacts".
After hours of head scratching, I rebuilt
rpmbuild --rebuild evolution-data-server-2.32.3-18.el6.src.rpm
Had to do an "rpm --nodeps" of the four resulting RPMs.
as they had a conflict with "contacts" from rpmforge.
rpm --nodeps -Uvh evolution-data-server-2.32.3-18.el6.x86_64.rpm
evolution-data-server-debuginfo-2.32.3-18.el6.x86_64.rpm
evolution-data-server-devel-2.32.3-18.el6.x86_64.rpm
evolution-data-server-doc-2.32.3-18.el6.noarch.rpm
And rpmforge doesn't have SRPMs posted anymore. So I found
contacts-0.12-5.fc15.src.rpm
which wouldn't let me rebuild until the "nodeps" on the
evolution-data-server above. A dog chasing his tail.
then this did work:
rpmbuild --rebuild contacts-0.12-5.fc15.src.rpm
And "contacts" upgraded perfectly (FINALLY).
Then
yum upgrade
worked like a charm.
