FWIW, since the CentOS group is planning an IA-32 release, there
wouldn't be anything stopping SL from doing the same, once the main
x86_64 release is out. That's up to the SL developers if they want to
maintain an arch that upstream is not maintaining. The CentOS team has
decided to do this, but as a secondary architecture it seems.
An IA-32 release would of course necessitate the removal of XFS
entirely, including from being the default filesystem in the installer.
